In this 2-part workshop expect to learn the key to moving through “flow” or “vinyasa” sequences with fluid power and grace.
DAY ONE (Saturday 4 February 12.00 - 2.00pm): will focus on the basic elements of Sun Salutation A and B including safely jumping back and forward. Focus will carry on into the postures (asana) that are most commonly taught including Warrior series, balance flows twists. Attention to the transition from one posture to another will be key and learning to move from your core by activating the “vayus” elemental energies that flow through our bodies and radiate outwards empowering us.
DAY TWO (Sunday 5 February 12.00 - 2.00pm): will build on day one with deeper instruction on the 5 vayus and engaging breath with movement for steadiness and ease (sthira and sukha). Flow sequences will build into greater length and complexity. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of practice and will increase your ease and knowledge of postural alignment while in the flow as well as helping you to move with more grace and power from posture to posture.Emphasis on building energy in the vayus especially those governing the core (manipura) and heart (anahata) will help to teach you to move more smoothly even when jumping or taking long steps into and out of tricky poses.
$80 for both sessions or $45 for one.
