I have been breathing all my life so I could say I’ve been doing practice for yoga since I was born. :)
Yoga practice was first introduced to me by Yvonne one of my Nursing Tutors and little did I realise at the time, the yoga seed had been planted. It wasn’t till a number of years later that I attended a beginners class at the Sumner Yoga School in Christchurch, with an old high school friend. We spent most of the time wondering which one of us would fart, fall asleep and snore (It wasn’t me).
However I still remember the first real taste of the relaxation and calm that came from the practice. I have since practiced Bikram, Ashtanga and Nicky Knoff Yoga Practices, Including foundation Level teacher training and a Vipassana meditation course.
I have been very fortunate and will be forever grateful to the inspiring teachers and students I have had leading my practices and supporting me on my yoga journey.
